The Asian International Water Week was officially launched in 2017. Held every three years, it is jointly organized by the Asian Water Council and relevant units of the host country. Its aim is to exchange and share practical solutions to water issues in Asia, promote and publicize the achievements in Asian water governance, and elevate Asian water affairs to the global water agenda.

This year's conference includes events such as "Asian Water Issues," "Asian Water Declaration," and a "Water Project Business Forum." Topics include "Water Strategy and Water Policy Innovation," "Digital Twin Enabling Smart Water Management," "Water and Food Energy Security," "Water and River Basin Ecosystems," and "Knowledge Integration and Dissemination."
